optivac® features:

• Borosilicate Glass with 160 mm inner Ø and heights of 160, 250, 300, 350, 400 and 450 mm
• Cover made of stainless steel with PTFE coating; thus cover does not stick even after long periods under vacuum
• Red / green vacuum control with spring manometer:

• Rubber valve with connection for 8 mm Ø tube
• Base supporting ring (PVC)
• Transparent polymer coating (0,3 mm) on the inside for implosion protection. Coating also absorbes some UV radiation
• Glass vessel is tested to 2 bar overpressure
• Leakage rate of standard OPTIVAC is less than 5 x 10-8 mbar x l/s. Thus in a 5 L unit a vacuum of 1 mbar deteriorates to 2 mbar in about 3 years
• Standard optivac® has 1 base plate and 1 level made of aluminium. Further levels can be added at 50 mm intervals
• Below the base plate there is space, e.g. for a molecular sieve for dehumidification
